the xcr mitts worked great. On my 1st ski trip after getting them it was 12 F, snowing & blowing 20-40mph--yes a blizzard the 1st day. The xcr's did the trick--warm & dry. The next day was just as cold & no problem. I'd recommend getting 1 size larger than the rec'd size per the Hestra website sizing logic. I look frwd to using them a long time.
