For when the going gets cold

By Backcountry.com Employee January 9, 2011

I bought these to supplement my Hestra XCR Gloves for the coldest of days and days where I spend a lot of time riding the lift instead of stoking my furnace walking uphill. These pick up where the gloves left off. I've skied these down in the single digits and had balmy hands that felt no frost. I generally get cold hands and fingers while skiing so these really upped my comfort level dramatically. I sized them the same as the gloves and felt that although the dexterity is not great (it is a mitt!) I can still both get it done, and slay it with little to no problem. The removable liners are a great way to dry these out after your hands start sweating and letting the shells dry faster as well. If you have cold hands and want a great glove, these are a pretty good direction to head in.

Concur. Would just add that with the warmth, comes a physically large mitt... for some, may be too bulky.
