(let IT rip)... having used the full leg 260 for a few years now, I was curious to see if the legless provided enough warmth, was long enough, and comfortable. I'm pleased to say the material has improved from my older style (it's softer and smoother) with a better waistband (flatter and not as tight), and, combined with the over-the-calf high Icebreaker ski socks, were long enough and stayed in place. Additionally, I actually did notice the increase in comfort with just the sock in my boot rather than the overlapping of the sock plus the legging. I recommend these! (BTW, I'm 5'4", 121 lbs and my sizing in Icebreaker is consistently XS).
