Price aside, great jacket...

Picked this jacket up because they were out of my size in the Stinger. Supposed to be the same jacket except with some insulation. I'm 6'2 190, got the large. The cut of the Stinger/Sentry series fits me better than the Sidewiders. Fit for me is pretty slim, but allows for a little layering. Coat hits me roughly at the bottom of the butt.

Color: tundra. Looks white till you compare it with snow, then it looks a bit more creme in color. Tends to show dirt, which is pretty easy to pick up while putting skis on top of my road gunked up jeep. Wipes off, though.

Pockets: Pretty minimal here--only 4 pockets. 1-small external chest pocket big enough for my cell phone or iPod, perhaps a wallet, but not much else, 1-slightly larger internal pocket, probably 6" x 6", and the two external hand pockets. I don't really find that a problem as my ski pants have numerous pockets and I carry a pack. Four small pockets might be a problem if you like stuffing things in your jacket, though.

Pros:
1)Well constructed, like all my other Arctery'x jackets.
2) Pit zips are large with zippers on both ends.
3) Stow away hood fits over my helmet.
4) Warm and windproof

Cons:
1) Does not have the fleece chin piece just inside the collar like on the Stinger. I love that little detail on the stinger. Don't know why Arcteryx didn't put that on the Sentry. The collar isn't terribly scratchy on my chin, so it's not a deal breaker.

Wish I could give it 4.5 stars, with 1/2 star deduction for price. Since it's made in China instead of Canada, these things shouldn't cost as much to make. But it's better than a 4 star jacket so I'll give it 5.
