The excellent customer service at Backcountry helped me find this boot and the right size. I have narrow feet and narrower ankles. The Scarpa is the best fitting for me. Keene was almost as light but way too wide. Danner was also way too wide and Merrel is great too but didn't have the aggressive tread I was looking for. I haven't tested this on climbs so I can't speak about heel slippage in that regard but it's incredibly cushioned so I don't anticipate any problems there. Also, they shield my feet from the cold and rain without being too hot. Best of all they are light as feathers. Worth the money and worth buying from Backcountry.com. Spend your money here. Pick up some snow pants and Outdoor Research gaitors and you will feel invincible to snow.
