Not what I was looking for...

Purchased these for a hike in the Rock Mountain NP. I wasn't blown away by them; the breathability was good and they weren't terribly heavy, but the fit was very poor for my feet. I don't have many problems with shoes, but even after several weeks of break-in, they seemed too stiff in the heel and over my ankle. After a couple days going uphill with a pack on they were rubbing against my achilles quite a bit. I sent them back after the hike and will have to look elsewhere. Thank god for Backcountry's return policy, it's why you're the best!
