I also have had a couple pair of XA 3D Pros, but these are better in fit, traction, and support. These are the best sneaker I've owned. Great for backpacking, running, casual, and anything. I am getting a GTX pair to compliment my breathable pair for trail running, apres ski, and mucking around in the rain. All my sneaks are Salomons and these are their best! Forget tying muddy, frozen laces and buy these babies!

##J##, I agree, the GTX version runs a tad small. I actually got a half size larger in my GTX trail running version.

I have been using the XT wings for a few years now and love them. Just a word to the wise when I got the Waterproof ones they ran just a bit small..

I've always used the XA 3D Pros, but i've been hearing alot of good things about the XT Wings 2. Maybe it's time to give them a shot.
