The first time I used this headlamp, I knew it was going to be at the top of my gear stash. With the white and red LED's, the variety of uses for this headlamp are near endless. It's comfortable, with the head band fitting well without causing a headache during extended use. Functionality, the light tilts enough so you can keep the beam angle on the trail/rock in front of you one minute, then angles down so you don't blind your friends the next. After much use, I have also noticed that the rocker housing has not loosened and the light doesn't "drift" down as I walk or run. The red LED has received many compliments from friends for the easyness on their eyes. It's perfect when you want to let others in the tent stay sleeping, use for stargazing, and is awesome for performing tasks in the cockpit of an airplane while flying at night. The white LED's offer two settings (high/low), with just one setting for the red. This headlamp is now my primary, with my eight year old Princeton-Tec being moved to the bottom of the gear pile.
