Awesome Features, Grimace Look-Alike?
By Leslie Byers

While the down insulation, waterproof material, sealed zippers, and powder skirt initially sold me.... upon trying the jacket on in person I felt like a big purple people eater (I ordered the Aztec Blue color). For those of you not familiar with McDonald's characters, Grimace is the big purple one. I'm sure this jacket would be super warm and very functional for skiing, but I just can't rock huge puffy shoulders, arms, and no definition in the waist. The fit reminded me of the coats my mom made me wear as a kid where your arms levitate out to the sides because the jacket is so heavily insulated. If warmth is more important than style, this jacket is for you. I decided to return it and went with the Arc'teryx Stingray instead. Even though I'll have to invest in a down mid-layer to go under my new shell, at least I'll look like a lady and not a Happy Meal toy on skis. Other than the fit, I definitely think the quality, construction, and features on this jacket are all top notch!
