I find these too hot for any high pace or strenuous activities. For me, these are my morning pants at home, but my pair are cut differently (older style). I've had them for 9 years and they are like new (though they don't see backcountry abuse). The new version appears to be much more fitted, but the material is the same and too hot for my legs.
