Oakley Sabot High Winter Boot - Men's

Durable, Versatile, and Insanely Comfortable

By Backcountry.com Employee December 6, 2010

With a high instep, wide forefoot, and skinny heel I struggle to find a comfortable do-it-all winter boot but these boots fit the bill to a T.

As a part-time ski / snowboard photographer I've put these boots through the paces and they've held up for two seasons of getting crushed, left in the snow, and dragged through the mountains.

Not the warmest boot on the planet, get some thick socks, but for 90% of your West-Coast style winter temps they're as good as it gets without being overly bulky. Laced down tight I rarely have snow sneak inside, and the tread digs into most surfaces without issue.

Comfortable ergonomics with plenty of support. Feet never really overheat or feel stifled, the interior lining does a great job of moving moisture.

Huge fan, I would recommend these to anyone looking for a decent pair of boots to wail on throughout the winter. Look elsewhere if you want a boot for doing work in waist deep snow in the middle of the woods in sub-zero temps though.
