Rab Fusion Softshell Jacket - Men's

Overkill for me

By Ranked #1224 - Men's Softshell Jackets December 4, 2010

This is an awesome jacket but not your casual wear around town softshell. It is burly, seems like it could withstand any conditions with the exception of extended rains. It was overkill for my needs so I returned it but for the right application would be perfect.

Overall, excellent. The eVent is in the best spots to keep the water completely out. And the Pertex is in the perfect spots to allow for comfortable movement and full range of motion. I use it as a raincoat with a fleece underneath during the winter. The collar is tall and the hood large because it's intended to fit over a climbing helmet. But after tightening up the drawcords, it doesn't look awkward at all. I love this jacket and hope it lasts for as long as I need it, which appears to be the rest of my life. Ordered large because I'm 6'5" and a thin 150 lbs. and need the length in the back and sleeve. I was afraid it would be too bulky, but ended up fitting perfectly. This jacket was a great choice. Rab is the bomb.
