Excessively Long Sleeves

The jacket material is amazing; I expect it will perform well. The lines are stylish. However the sleeves are far too long! They come nearly to my finger tips. I appreciate extra sleeve length for hand covering on cold days; but the sleeve length on this jacket is excessive. At 5'5", I'm not short; and I've never had an issue with sleeve length in the past.
Otherwise, the fit is fairly accurate based on what one would expect (not necessarily the size charts, which I always find are off); perhaps it is a little generously portioned. I ordered a large and currently have a very-curvy figure postpartum, especially with breastfeeding. Generally, I find myself buying a size 12 in blouses and pants. The large fits with enough room for adding layers underneath on the coldest days; something baggy, like a sweatshirt, underneath would cause the material to stretch on me. The size chart says 39in chest for a large; several extra inches fit inside easily without stretching the material. A 36G is about 43in; but sports bras compress a little. Perhaps on a small the sleeve length would be bearable.
It's a perfect fit, except for those sleeves! For the price, I am miffed about the sleeves; and thus, I have not yet used the jacket. I'm trying another (less-awesome looking) winter running jacket before deciding whether to keep this one. I wish I could comment on its performance. Hopefully, the sizing info has been helpful.

Totally agree with you about the sleeves. They are too long and the torso part of the jacket is too short. They are way out of proportion. I'm 5'6" and lanky, and the sleeves went about an inch and a half pat my wrist. Meanwhile the torso is high hip.

Cycling jackets tend to have longer sleeves.

I'm 5'5", weigh 115-118, wear a size 4 -- very average in size all over. I wear a size SM in this light shell very comfortably. I could get by with a X-SM, but it's a bit snug for my taste. I have absolutely no problem with the sleeve length.
