Decent boot, eyelets break off

I've had these boots about 6 mo. The upper shoelace hooks break off. 1st pair was replaced by Backcountry, no questions. I haven't contacted them about this pair yet. I think Columbia should go with something a little stronger. I work in these all day and the shoelace hooks are the last thing I thought I'd have a problem with.
