I've tried others but nothing compares. I had a pair for about 11 years on every hike I took - summer or winter. Eventually I had to sew them multiple times (velcro coming off the cordura). The best thing about them is their stiffness - they repel gravity on their own so you don't have to cinch anything down around your calf. The are a bit hot, but worth it most of the time.
