pretty but awkward + light

i love north face usually. this jacket, particularly, i was hoping to blend the pragmatism of shielding rain + subtle style (long, trench-like length of the jacket). the dark blue color was quite nice, the material light. however, the hood was extremely awkward for me -- in my several attempts, i couldn't get the hood to tighten/loosen to where it was comfortable, nor did it ever stay on. in addition, perhaps because i'm petite (5'2") i found that the zipper was quite low...and so each time i had to reach far down to begin zipping up the jacket. in all, not quite worth the cost.
