Great Ski

Ranked #52 - Big Mountain Freeride Skis

This is a great all mountain ski...and an exceptions powder ski. New to the Dynastar line the ski has a fair bit of tip rocker and is 115 under foot. The wood core makes the ski stand up to choppy conditions and you can also arc turns on groomers. Try this ski out...you will not be disappointed.

The ski is significantly lighter than the XXL. There is a huge difference in weight between the 2 skis.

how stable are these skis when carving in variable snow / hardpack conditions? also, how is the flex softer than the old xxl's when they still have 2 sheets of metal in them? is it just the tip rocker that makes them feel softer?

This ski is much lighter and easy to ski than the XXL. The 2 skis are very different. The 115 has a significantly softer tip. It is a more playful and forgiving than the XXL.

Just wondering about how much this ski weighs...the Dynastar website says 1900g, which seems absolutely ridiculous considering how much the XXLs used to weigh (about 2500g+ per ski).
