Comfy, but design issues

Ranked #132 - Camp Chairs
October 18, 2010
Yep, the chairs are very comfy and lightweight. Even the insulated pocket (which we thought was corny at first) came in handy on a hot Main Salmon river trip.
BUT... there are 2 serious flaws:
#1 - Once we used these chairs in a sandy environment, it was next to impossible to get them to fold back up. We tried cleaning them, lubing them with silicone. Nope. Seriously spent about 1/2 hour one morning trying to figure out the problem. And this was with both chairs that we purchased. In the process of trying to push them closed, the screws at the bottom of the legs that go into the rubber feet just popped right out.
#2 - The carry bag is too small and just makes you spend more time trying to pack these chairs up and once you manage to get it into the bag, it looks like some of the frame is going to pop right through the material.
Waiting for the updated design to come out and maybe we'll consider purchasing them again. We returned the 2 we bought.

Very helpful. Mine would mostly be used on sandy beaches where I canoe camp, which rules this chair out.
