Use cork sealer

Bought this for snowshoeing and hiking.
Cork is great but beware as there are drawbacks.
Have had it for less than a year when I noticed that my cork handle was starting to pit. Don't know how or when it happened. Kinda of disappointed since these are expensive poles and was looking for many years of use.
Too late for me but recommend a cork sealer.

It's possible that the pitting in your cork handle was caused by a small, nibbling critter. Cork and leather items (like boots) can attract them, and the best way to avoid this is to keep these items inside your tent.
