Gear Review
Conquers All Others

Over the years I've worn lifestyle and performance shades from: Smith, Oakley, Spy, Rudy Project, Kaenon, ...the list goes on. The Blackfin, hands down, have the most comfortable fit I've ever experienced. Generally I would err more towards a brand that's more action-sports focused, but I took a shot at Costa because of the style and positive reviews I had read about the lens quality.
Unlike some shades that look great online, and completely obscene in person the Blackfins translate well. Clean, simple style you won't feel embarrassed to the grocery store after a long trail ride.
580p lenses are precise and incredibly clear. Copper lens is a little BRIGHTER than I expected for the endless Utah sun. Might buy a darker tint the next time around but its a great all around choice. Polarization crushes glare just as well as any other pricey polarized lens out there, and works particularly well on the water.
Grippy rubber along the entire base of the frame holds onto your face well and doesn't detract from the lifestyle aesthetic. Arms have a slight flex, but doesn't feel flimsy at all. Overall the Blackfin's have a durable, feel without ANY additional weight (IMO).
Huge fan of these shades, can't say enough about how impressed I am.
