Great shoes but, Did I get a Defective one ?

Super comfortable shoes.
Broke in right out of the box

Had one of the plastic lace hooks break on my first hike. Sending them back for another pair.
Hoping i just got a defective boot

Bad luck its the day before a trip to zion.
