I'm upgrading from the Black Diamond Primrose (2003 version). It's definetly a step up. It's super light and uber comfy. The only issue: the rise is super short. I feel like the harness is constantly pulling me forward since there isn't much distance between the leg loops and waist. I have a 30" waist. The medium was much too tiny in the thigh, but the large was much too big in the waist. I think even the women's harnesses are designed for a boy's body, not a curvy lady. BTW this harness has a small chalk bag loop on the back (unlike the Arcteryx alpine harness).

The waist of large is plenty big for my 30" waist. The thighs are pretty comfy too. There is a lot of strap flapping around though, since I have it snugged down almost to the base. The most important part of the fit needs to be your waist. Make sure that fits okay. It doesn't matter if the thighs are a bit loose. That's actually better, because these thigh straps don't unclip for stepping in.

I hope you can help me out! I'm an athletically built, curvy girl. Big thighs, a little thick in the waist right now...lol, you get the point. I'm also making the switch from the Primrose. Would you suggest this harness? I wear size 32 in jeans and size large or xl in athletic shorts (just so they're not snug around the waist). I'm thinking of this harness in XL...
