Great Goggles!

By Backcountry.com Employee September 8, 2010

These goggles really are some of the best goggles I have ever used. These are a slight improvement over the Oakley Crowbars. The lenses are the most optically correct lenses of any brand on the market, and the added height of the lens on this model gives the user a larger field of view. The goggle also has a stiff bridge over the nose to help with breathing. It helps your nose not to get clogged on cold days as easily. The added vents probably allow for less fogging, but I have no empirical data to back up that claim. If you are debating these between crowbars...buy both!

no john, the fire iridium is somewhat unique in that regard..but once you get out on the snow with them you won't even notice it anymore

the fire iridium lenses from the inside tone out alot of the light but wherever you point your eyes you see a different color is this how it is with all of them?

joe, id have to day that persimmon is the best all around. it will work fine in bright day conditions protecting your eyes, but lets in more than enough light to allow you to night ski easily

All of the lenses are super high quality, iridium is mostly aesthetic if you want that, I have blue iridium which I like, although its not as iridescent as fire iridium. If you don't want iridium, or you are skiing in low light, you would be better of with one of the "H.I" options.

The regular amber lenses work great but I find blue iridium works well in a variety of conditions. Pink iridium is awesome in cloudy and dark conditions while fire lens is my favorite in bright light.
