i've only had these for about a month, so i can't speak to performance longevity, but these socks are the ish! all the regular terrific stuff about merino wool socks applies to these, plus they are thicker, and feel more tightly knit than say a sock from a company that rhymes with kartwool (of which i have many pairs). the fit is good (seams are well done). so far i am very pleased. plus, ALL the Darn Tough products are made in the US, kartwool now outsources a good chunk of their products to china.
