I am a shorter guy ( 5'6" ) and I got this pad for me because the women's model has a higher R-value then the men's version does and I didn't need the extra length. I have only had the chance to use it in temps down to the low 30's, and I compared it to my Big Agnes insulated pad which weights about the same. ( 1oz. difference ) I slept the first half of the night with the B/A and then switched over to the Therm-a-rest for the last half until 7am. The Therm-a-rest was definately warmer! Usually the very early morning is your coldest time, yet I was warmer then with the Therm-a-rest then at 1am with my insulated Big Agnes. Yes the B/A is longer 72" but like I said if you can fit into the women's version I would definately recomend going with it. It's the WARMEST 2" pad I've found, that packs small and doesn't weight a lot.
