Excellent Big Mountain Jacket.

I have owned 3 different editions of Sidewinder AR jackets. The newest version is definitely the best of them. These new ones are made in China and I have to say the quality is top notch. I still wish they would be made in Canada (it was one of the nice things arcteryx had going for them). The curved zipper is not for everone- It doesnt accomplish anything different than a straight zipper. It simply looks different and can be a bit of a pain zipping up at times. The cut is more generous in this version, as well as the length (some of the earliest version were terribly short in the torso). They have improved the powder skirt over previous versions. I always thought the see through ski pass pocket on the sleeve was useless- I am glad they got rid of it. I wished they would have put another pocket there instead. The rest of the pocket are placed very well (a chest pocket comes in quite handy while skiing). I like the fact the recco detectors are now hidden in the collars. they look awfull on the outside of most jackets. Overall 4 stars.
