Decent trail shoe

I got these because I had a pair of the Ultra 104s (model without the goretex) and loved the non-goretex model from a few years ago. Since backcountry did not have the non-goretex version, I thought I'd try this goretex model. I think it feels quite a bit different from the non-goretex model in many ways. First off, it doesn't breathe as well, it feels a bit heavier and bulkier, and it tends to have way too much width going on, compared to the goretex-free model. I do have a narrower foot that most women, but I had no issues with the goretex free model. I find that my feel swim around and I get hotspots on the sole's of my feet. The support, however, for overpronaters, is very good. the shoe is very stable and I do like that. I also like that it's very solidly built. So, overall, it's alright, but I just wish the fit was like that of the nongoretex version.
