all weather shorts

i recently through through hiked the smokies with a few friends over a period of a week, and exclusively wore one pair of the the NF paramount shorts. the trips weather ranged from 70 degrees to below freezing, and featured torrential downpours, lightning, and an ice storm. while i wont pretend shorts are a good idea through an ice storm, the NF paramount shorts stayed warm and dry, and dried quickly when wet. i would highly recommend these shorts for fair weather hiking, and would even rate them appropriate for reasonable snow on the trail.
