Ranked #311 - Women's Casual Pants
April 10, 2010
I am not into classic hiking pants, you know, the loose kind with 5+ pockets. The extra material in the legs and crotch area bugs me. I am a marathoner, cyclist, weight lifter, yoga girl who wears workout clothes that fit close to my skin. When I saw these I knew they'd be perfect for the Grand Canyon. I was able to wear a pair of silks, and thermals underneath them without feeling like a packed sausage. Without the extra layering they hugged me like loose tights. The pant legs can fold into capris, with a snap to hold them in place. The three pockets are enough for me since I usually carry a backpack to hike. I don't like things bouncing around on my legs.
I want another pair. Someone got smart in making a pair of pants for those of us who like tights and pants that fit. I am a size 2 and smalls fit me perfectly! The material is stretchy and I washed them each night to find them completely dry in the morning. I wore them in 19 to 78 degree weather. No complaints.
