Gear Review
Great deal, but wrong fit

Ranked #279 - Men's Hiking and Climbing Pants
April 5, 2010
I am tall and thin and I like my pants to have a low-profile athletic fit, which means it's difficult for me to find pants that I really like. These are no different... They are good quality pants, the fabric is strong and durable, and I'm sure they're great for some people, but they are way too baggy on me. I tried the S/Reg and M/Reg and both were baggy enough that I couldn't lift my knee more than about 12" up before catching the fabric of the pants. On long hikes, that means constantly battling the pants when I'm walking uphill, so I sent these back and opted for the much more expensive but much better fitting Arc'Teryx Palisades instead. And I love those ones!
