Gear Review
Too big and clunky

Ranked #278 - Men's Hiking and Climbing Pants
April 5, 2010
I like my pants to fit tight enough that they don't catch on every stray buckle and twig when I'm walking, and light enough that I don't feel like I'm carrying more weight on my legs that in my backpack. These don't fit either bill. I usually wear a 30-32" waist, and the 32" in these was a tent on me. The fabric was also heavy and kind of rough feeling, not what I would want to spend a lot of time moving around in.

I agree: these trousers are 'ok'. They are too heavy when the pockets are packed with goods and essentials. The material is a bit on the heavy side. Lovely material, but, too bulky all over. The waist fit for me is not great either - always have to pull 'em up when walking. I'd give them 70% out of 100%.
