This thing was so comfortable that I couldn't believe it. The kidney pack is very comfortable and carries the weight nicely. Shoulder straps are also very comfortable. Tons of room in the bag with good access point from side zipper. Didn't care for the zipper configuration on the sleeping bag pocket though, its too squared and hard to zip/un-zip when the bag is full. But thats a minor gripe. The top pouch unfastens very easily to make a convenient lumbar pack--unfortunatley this requires also unfastening the hip belt/kidney pad assemly which is not so convenient. Worth it though if you are hiking in to a base camp for a multi-day.
I packed it on an overnight, carrying all of mine and my wifes gear with absolute comfort and room to spare. This pack is great for walking, especially for long distances. I've also taken it backpaking across Euroupe from Madrid to Munich to Prague and it filled that role nicely as well.
This summer I hope to get a few multi night hikes into the backcountry to really check it out; but for now the initial impression is very positive.
