Gear Review
Great concept but some flaws

I never was a huge fan of the camping backpack, especially since I am organized, and I never liked having to stuff things down a long sack. So, between that and the added convenience of wheels, I was excited about this concept.
After a month of use in Thailand, I overall like the backpack. Although I hardly needed to use the backpack format, even in a developing country like Thailand. But the few times I did use it, I was fine with it.
My main complaints are that it is difficult to zip the main compartment at the top, particularly when full. You really have to pull hard and push the zippers together, even when you don't feel like it's more than the suitcase should be able to handle. After a few weeks, one of the zipper straps came off. I will try to get them to fix or replace when I get back to the states.
Overall, I think it is relatively lightweight, looks cool, and is versatile based on its wheels and backpack features. I just wish they designed the top of the bag better so it was easier to close there and that the zipper didn't break already.
UPDATE (7/19/10): I contacted Osprey and ordered a part replacement for the zipper, and it was shipped to me free-of-charge within a few weeks. I hope it doesn't break again!

I just got back from a trip through Fiji, New Zealand, Australia & Bali - I really wish I had something more like this pack...my NorthFace Woment's Crestone 60L pack did not suit my needs at all, in fact it was quite tedious work packing & unpacking, it wasn't quite big enough & it would've been nice to have some wheels....if I do end up going back out there to travel through Malaysia & Thailand, the Osprey Soujourn 90L pack is coming with me ;)
