Warren Miller in name only

There is nothing quite like a new Warren Miller movie to get you in the mood for the new winter season...and this is nothing like a Warren Miller film. The fact that the old fella himself has nothing to do with the films any longer seems both sad and ridiculous - the soul of the films has gone forever it seems. The films have been getting gradually less enjoyable in the last few years, I hope this is as bad as they get, any worse and it may not be worth bothering any longer.

I should say that this film is not really BAD per-se but it just seems like they are going through the usual motions that appear in the films year after year. Watching skiing and boarding in deep snow and in the steeps is always going to be fun, it's just that Warren Miller productions seems to have forgotten what made WM films so great over the past 50 years. If they can get that back, great. If not, then it's a slippery slope(probably a double diamond).
