I'm not seeing the point

Well, Ortovox has hit the head of the nail every time but this one. I would say they make some of the best backcountry products available, but this is not one of them. I really don't see the point. You have to spin a piece of plastic to remind you of what a weather/avi report told you hours before. Well, I feel if you need this you should not be in the backcountry anyway, but furthermore this kind of device should never replace observation and situational awareness. The conditions are always changing and a plastic device you spun and set in the morning I don't feel is that helpful.
