Ranked #243 - Lightweight Sleep Pads
March 11, 2010
originally had a therm-a-rest z-lite which is great for light weight travel, but after a week and a half on it my hips could no longer take it. enter the prolite plus. this mat is super comfortable and warm. with this mat i no longer dread waking in the middle of the night and not getting comforatable enough to go back to sleep.

My wife and I had the EXACT same experience Joshua. We originally used the Z-lite, which is a nice pad, but we didn't find it comfortable enough. Waking up several times a night just isn't worth the weight savings. The Prolite Plus is... 8 oz? heavier maybe, but I'm not waking up with legs and arms numb and sore hips and elbows in the morning.
