Guide or Poacher?

If you are wondering between Guide or Pacher, go for Guide!
You can really throw alot of stuff in Guide! The outer shovel pocket is big enough for shovel, probe, crampons, small kits...etc. If you dont plan to bring alot you can just cinch the bag so you wont feel like you've got a huge pack on your back. Perfect for day bag or multi-day pack. I love the easy access from the back cushion which has two medium zipper compartments. You wont have to unstrap your gear and still access what you need. Also love the quick ice axe sleeve.
I can reach for my axe without taking off the bag.
I wish that camelbbag tube sleeve were a bit more spacious though. It is tough to get the tube all the way through. It would help to have more air space too...(Dakine...)
If you are women, or have a slim upper body shape, the straps may feel large. I believe this was designed for much beefier body shape. (I am 6' 185lbs, fits excellent) But you have alot of ways to cinch this pack so it wont feel like backpack is taking your body over...
I got this pack for all year around use, not just for ski/snowboard backcountry trips! I ski and snowboard so I love having the option to carry either one or both...
Highly recommended for anyone looking to find an excellent designed backpack.
