Gear Review
Believe the hype...
By Collin Sherick
Ranked #629 - Big Mountain Freeride Skis
March 7, 2010
Ski them at 189 (175lbs) with a +6 mount. The obvious is that it handles in the powder beyond expectations, whether its 3 inches of fluff or 30. Ski is nimble enough for trees and reverse camber makes riding switch feel like youre supposed to be doing it. Played with these skis in all conditions from Jackson Hole backcountry to Abasins spring moguls they rip everything. The ski doesn't get the best review for the groomers or the crud, but I would largely disagree as they grip tight and blow through the chop. As for hucks, jibs or anything else you want to do, they make it easy. Soft and solid landings that allow you to keep your fillings in your mouth. Center mount keep it balanced enough to pop 3s or even 5s. Mount position is everything. Bottom line, outstanding performance and attention grabbing graphics that will leave you anything but disappointed for adding this to your quiver.
