Makes u want to run.

By Ranked #90 - Women's Hiking Boots March 4, 2010

i bought the Plasma as my first pair of TNF shoes and its true that this is a really good pair of shoes. i took this for a 6-mile walk on the first test and it needed some breaking in, but by the 3rd wear it fitted fine. The quick break-in i reckon would be due to its pliable overall material of the body - not too hard but good enough for support. Icebreaker socks helped break-in too.

The most interesting and best part would be the sole - it has a "bounce" to it and i recommend this highly for persons wanting to start trail-runs. It really made me feel like running. i attempted a short urban sidewalk jog in Boston city a few weeks back with the snow falling (the time when NY was dumped in snow) and it had no problems on snow of about a few inches - grip was fine and i didn't need to adjust or attempt to run with caution.

Of course, Gore-Tex treatment took the worry of wetness out of my mind forever.

The laces are a dream come true. i don't waste the time lacing up anymore, but i only have this nagging worry that the laces may snap one day.

The mesh panels meant that i had to wear my Icebreaker wool socks as i could feel initially the winter cold (i've not gone below 15 F yet though, here in Boston), but of course this isn't an insulated shoe to start with. But as with any running activity body heat gradually solves this problem.

Overall - good active-type shoe. Check out the pix i've attached.
