I originally bought this headlamp for emergency purposes but have been slowly transitioning towards using it as my primary headlamp due to its high light output given its low weight.

I typically take the lamp out of its case and slip it into my ultimate direction quickdraw hand canteen pocket when I am running around dusk. I have also used this light caving in Bend, OR when I somehow forgot my Tikka. It worked a lot better than expected. Not up to the full light output as the Tikka, but pretty close. I would highly recommend this product to the outdoor adventurer.
