You can call me a sally, but as I approach 30 I have been finding that my closed cell foam mat has been doing little in the way of providing comfort or warmth anymore so I upgraded to this sleeping pad. It rolls down to the same size or smaller than my old mat (it does weigh a little more) but inflates to 4x the thickness. No more sore hips before a day of rock climbing! I like the 2 different textured sides, the rubberized dots do reduce the pad's ability to travel if you shift at night. My two complaints are pretty minimal, but firstly are the included 'compression' straps. They are made of elastic and therefore do little to further compress the roll and will inevitably stretch. Second is the included stuff sack, I would prefer a tighter fit just because it does hang on the outside of my pack where I want things neat and trim. Oh, the included repair kit is a plus. If you are serious about hiking, you might look for something smaller and lighter. But if you are like me and do a healthy mix of car camping too, then I would recommend this pad.
