Gear Review
LOOKS GREAT!

Ranked #438 - Men's 3-in-1 Jackets

I bought this jacket for my 17yo son and the fit, style, and color are fantastic. He is 6'2" and a slim atheletic build. A large was perfect.
The technical aspects were the most important consideration. It has it all except the price tag. It would be nice to have gore-tex but it is not necessary. The jacket holds up to the elements. Another aspect is the vest in lay. I really wanted a fleece but I have now changed my view point on that detail. North Face seems to always figure it out. Some reviewers felt the jacket is not warm enough but it has not been a issue. If he uses it on the mountains a smart wool skin or a sweater is plenty.
There is room to layer without a bulky boxy fit.
