Definitely NOT a ski jacket.........

Someone missed the boat on this jacket. It is billed as a ski jacket for cold dry conditions- but falls quite short for that. But makes an awesome coat for around the town and everything in between. OK starting with the pros- Great length and cut. nice deep pockets and a collar that actually stays up. Material blocks wind and feels and looks great, and a Perfect amount of insulation for cold days. Cons. Cuffs are terrible for skiing. does not work with gauntlet gloves and looks clumsy if you put gloves over top. Has to be one of the worst designed cuffs I have come across. Powder skirt is virtually useless- it rides up and moves around. I am glad 'the bird' realized this and now uses the gripper elastic on newer models. The front zipper allows minute amounts of air through the front when skiing down the hill. for this price point it should have a waterproof front zip and sealed seams. I use this around town and it works great for that. It actually has a bit of a classy look to it.
Overall: Great Urban jacket- Terrible ski jacket.
