Dog socks? Not as stupid as I thought...

Bought the Bark n Boots for a 9 mile hike this weekend in the Uintas. The 80lb weimaraner can never last more than a few minutes in the snow before his feet get too cold and then he just sits there watching us trek on... The boots fit great and I never had any problems with them falling off, but as we hiked on, they started filling up with snow. Eventually, he just stopped and sat there like before.
I bought the liners just in case. I thought they were semi-ridiculous but they actually ended up saving the day! The snow was creeping into the shoes and making his feet cold, so he would just sit there as before. I gave the socks a try and we had no problems from there on. The socks kept the snow out of the shoes and his feet dry.
