The little bit of insulation on the inside of the Scarab make them very comfortable.
With mid-weight long underwear, they kept me almost too warm while climbing through the night on with temperatures in the mid-20's.
They block the wind well.
Sizing: I wear between a 36 and 38 jean. My inseam is around 33-34. I'm 6'1" and weigh 235lbs.
The XL --Regular were too big in the waist.
The L-Regular fit well at the waist, but the include belt was really tight and they were a tad short.
The L-Tall was absolutely a perfect fit. They feel tailored made. The included belt is exactly the right size. The length is right to the ground. The thighs are cut larger to give more room but aren't like parachute pants.
The thigh pockets are deep and hold things comfortably. You don't even notice you have something in your pocket. The side vents are excellent.
