Gear Review
Good for inbounds and slack country
By Kate Atha
Ranked #204 - Winter Packs
February 11, 2010
I've had the Heli Pack for a few seasons and it has it's uses. It's good for those inbounds or slack country days as it is not the biggest pack. It holds a shovel, probe, extra shirt, goggles, PB & J sandwich, and a couple PBRs just fine. I don't fill a hydration bladder all the way up, as it does take up space. The fit is very nice, too. Bomber construction. If you're looking for a backcountry pack or something bigger, Dakine has plenty more great models. I use a Dakine Blade for backcountry days and when I'm working at the resort and have to pack more gear, skins, avy gear, and food.
