Marmot runs small, Gravity and Suzette anyway. I can normally wear a small (4/6) in most things, but had to get a meduim in the Gravity. Fits well. Comfortable, moves easily with you and warmer than many many other softshells I tried on: in Marmot and other brands.
Will work as top layer and under a shell as well. Good for layering, but if layering, it is thicker than some other softshells out there. I am using it for very cold weather minus temps to 35 are the norms!
