I have owned two things in my life that as soon as I put them on I knew I had to buy them, this bag is one of them. It is the most comfortable bag I have ever worn. The mesh suspension is nice in the summer to get air flowing behind your back + just as good in the winter so your back doesnt get all sweaty leaving you cold.
The arc in the frame results in seemingly slightly less capacity, but once you figure out how to pack it works out. For example, I have been able to fit everything I need for an overnight camping trip in it. There are plenty of pockets + access points (vertical zip, belt stashes, camelbak sleeve, side + back elastic pockets) so all your gear can stay put - or strap on a shell or snowshoes to the back compression straps + get rolling.
The construction is solid + I have no fear that the mesh back will hold up as some have expressed. Even if it doesn't Osprey is committed to their products + will take care of you.
For a daypack, short overnighters, or minimal weekenders get this pack.
