Nice counterpart to synthetics

I use mainly synthetic underwear in most active endeavors, but I wanted a pair of merino undies for extended trips and/or cooler weather. I happened to get these on a discount deciding on the Icebreakers because I have several other Icebreaker pieces that I enjoy. I have to say the size Large felt too small when initially pulling them out of the box and giving that waistband a stretch, but once they were on they felt perfect. I don't have a problem with the stronger than normal waistband as others seem to have and the cut certainly is NOT riding too high on my waist.

The legs hold a bit less than my Ex Officio synthetic boxerbriefs but perhaps that's the style. Though I am knocking a star off because it can lead to them riding up the leg a bit in certain positions. Otherwise I'm very happy with them as I am with most Icebreaker pieces and most merino for that matter.
