I own 3 pairs of these socks and won't wear anything else during Winter. Well, maybe the Ultralite's on warmer days =) For a "lite" sock, these are pretty warm and very durable. I easily wear them when snowshoeing for warmth and dryness. I have yet to purchase a mid-weight but I think I could get away with layering my ultralite and lite if needed for much colder conditions. I swear by and highly recommend anything Icebreaker!
